Great suggestions - I just put them on the list! - Thanks Elizabeth!
Love it! LOL>I'd like to know a little about the business end of illustration. I've been getting contacted by quite a few authors who are self publishing their books through Createspace and Amazon was wondering how I should handle these type of clients...do I ask for money down or do I wait until after the initial rough draft stage and ask for half? Or do I just have them sign the contract and withhold the final high res image until the end of the job and have them pay at one time. It's a different kind of client than I'm use to dealing with but if there's money to be made I don't want to miss out. What are your thoughts on the subject?
Great questions - Can we ever learn too much about the business side? - also jut put on my list - thanks!
I heard a strange noise just this morning…I wonder?Great illo!

Difficult to herd, but worth it for the eggnog.
Hey Ron - I would imagine that you guys have enough room for a heard though :) Have you seen the price of eggnog? Worth thinking about at least :)
Hello- I didnt notice the "ch-udders?" until today-LOL!What is the best software for graphics for APPs? Are they just high res layers?A interactive book vs. an app?Is the SCBWI Bologna feasible for beginners or just more experienced and avanced PAL members? Any tutorials for Createspace with cover art?I went to an SCBWI meeting and saw illustrations brought on large 4 x 3 foot paper while mine were on 10 x 14", I have been doing some on smaller paper to scan more truely without stitching and it seems to work for email- what are the pros and cons vs functions of size? Should SCWBI members think on display too? those are questions I wondered this week- Dyann
Great questions! I'll put them on my list. I'm not sure about the large paper you're talking about at SCBWI meetings - I'm not familiar with that.
Oh just one illustrator did her work so large and it was a critique group, so she brought it. I was just wondering is that something to keep in mind- display later? I use about the size of my large format scanner- but the BIg scanners are mucho $. I havent been to a conference yet, so are there displays? I have dispalyed like at Sci-Fi conventions where you buy booth space. I was just wondering pro and cons of size. I had 2 book dummys with me but I was wondering if I should work larger with display in mind? What do you think about that? I know with digital its not a problem LOL
How 'bout you just doodle for fun while watching the Olympics & post your tidbits here! Doodles are always Fun & Productive. (and judging from that Cowken, yours are pretty interesting)
Thanks Elizabeth! I might just have to do that :)
Bug olympics! Or polar Olympics!!!
I love cowken!!! Hehehe... Ideas for blog posts? How about some more animal mashups? Pog (pig dog), camster (cat hamster)... Oh, the possibilities!
Good idea Sarah - I was actually thinking these would make fun kitchen art - I'll have to think more on this one :)
What a crazy bird Will, I love your imagination. These would make interesting yard chickens, yum, eggnog :)
